ECO HALAL TRADE HOUSE PRESENTED ITS PRODUCTS AT THE INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION "UZFOOD 2021" IN TASHKENT

The 20th anniversary International Exhibition "UzFood 2021" was held in Tashkent from April 28thto 30that the Uzexpocenter National Exhibition Center, in which the ECO Halal Trade House took part, presenting Halal products made at the Chamzinskaya poultry factory.

The UzFood exhibition is the main event in the food industry and food products sector. Every year, the exhibition is attended by leading manufacturers, suppliers and distributors of the food industry, representing Uzbek and world food markets.

Despite the difficulties caused by the pandemic, this year 122 companies from 21 countries took part in the anniversary exhibition "UzFood", including: Austria, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, India, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Korea, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, the United States, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and France.

In 2021, there was a high level of interest to the event from Russian regions. The Russian Federation was represented at the exhibition by 32 companies, including companies from the Republic of Tatarstan, Moscow and Omsk regions, and others.

Among post-Soviet states, Uzbekistan ranks third in terms of population after Russia and Ukraine. Russia annually increases export of agricultural products to Uzbekistan - for the period from 2018 to 2020, this indicator almost doubled. The Uzbek market offers a wide range of Russian food products, and Russia occupies a large part of the market for certain types of them. The volume of mutual trade of agricultural products, raw materials and food between Russia and Uzbekistan in 2020 compared to 2019 increased by 49.2% to $ 1,038.4 million USD.

Russian exports to Uzbekistan in 2020 accounted for 66.4% of turnover of agricultural products between Russia and Uzbekistan.

According to analysts, due to the growth of the population and their income, capacity of Uzbek food market will grow, which opens serious opportunities for export of Russian products.

For the first time, products of the ECO Halal trademark presented in Uzbekistan aroused great interest among visitors of the exhibition, since demand for halal products in Uzbekistan is quite high. Visiting the stand of the ECO HalalTrade House, representatives of various Uzbek companies were interested in the production process, method of slaughtering and control of Halal products. During negotiations, an agreement was reached on supply of products of the ECO Halal trademark to Uzbekistan.

Also, within the framework of the "UzFood-2021" exhibition, meetings with buyers, retailers and distributors were held at the specialized site.
